There’s a reason we love the rolling hills of Karjat - they always hide something new. And on this secret adventure, we'll take you through winding village paths and Miyazaki-esque meadows, as we hop, skip and jump across streams straight out of a Studio Ghibli scene (before AI ruined it).
The payoff? A hidden oasis. And yes, it’s all ours for the day! We’ll chill, float, maybe make a cringe reel or two (because why not?!) and just soak in the countryside calm. If you’re looking for a first trek that doesn’t feel like a boot camp, the ‘Lost Lagoon Loop’ is calling your name!

What will we do?
6:49 am: Board the 6:49 am Karjat (Fast) and meet the Vagabond team at the Karjat station ticket counter at 8:45 am.
08:45 am: Assemble & get into the taxis that will take us for breakfast.
09:05 am: Reach the restaurant and grab some hot and wholesome local breakfast.
10:30 am: Reach our base village, stretch and warm up a bit. After a short round of introductions and instructions, we are ready to take on the day!
11:00 am: Begin our walk from the base village. A short trail leads us to a meadow, a peaceful, open patch with stunning views, the perfect spot to catch your breath.
11:20 am: Relax, click some pictures, and soak in the natural vibes. We make our way to our destination.
11:50 am: Continue our walk through some farms, streams and forest cover, with Garbett Plateau in our line of vision, slowly leading us to a natural pool and waterfall.
12:30 pm: Arrive at our private lagoon. It’s time to unwind - dip your feet, splash around, or just sit back and listen to the sound of the falls.
1:15 pm: We make our way back and head to our local villager’s house for a delicious home-cooked meal.
2:45 pm: Hop into our cabs and begin the ride back to Karjat station.
3:30 pm: With full bellies, refreshed souls, and a pocketful of monsoon memories, bid adieu to a bunch of new friends.
HOW TO REACH
Please DO NOT miss the 6:49 am Karjat Fast from CSMT station. Feel free to board this train from any other station (Byculla 6:56 am, Dadar 7:02 am, Kurla 7:09 am, Ghatkopar 7:13 am, Mulund 7:24 am, Thane 7:28 am). If you miss this train, you will NOT be able to join us for the trek. Meet us outside Karjat station near the rickshaw stand by 8:45 am. Plan accordingly.
