Enjoyed the #WankhedeMuseumandStadium tour - part of a great initiative and through sustained effort over the past few years, by the Mumbai Cricket Association, helmed by the President, Ajinkya Naik. For this nice tour, for the conception and playout, much credit (thanks too) to Devendra Prabhudesai (Indian cricket writer, author and sports media professional) and his nice team - to Ritik Mohite in large part, who engaged us with his nice story telling and informative commentary for the good 3 hour tour - who conduct it well. All through, Mumbai Cricket shines through nicely. I'd suggest not to go with any expectation (especially w.r.t other Stadium tours worldwide) and enjoy the legacy, the players, the game, the nostalgia and the future forward - and the story telling. It is endearing. Madhav Mantri, Diana Edulji, Jemimah Rodrigues, Dilip Vengsarkar, Ajinkya Rahane, The Little Master, Bapu Nadkarni, the incredible Eknath Solkar, Polly Umrigar, Vinoo Mankad, Paras Mhambrey, Salil Ankola, Achrekar Sir, Gothoskar Sir, Jersey No 10.. and more. And, the Stadium. The sand based outfield (and I got to sit on it, the best seat in the Stadium 😃), the stands, the tower lights, the cricket legends stand sections, the MCA Box, the media room, the dressing rooms, the seat where MSD hit THAT six.. and more. It was special for me, on two counts. For India winning the Cricket World Cup as the first host nation, here, in 2011. And for a Mumbaikar, Wankhede has always been, and will continue to be, a piece of the heart❤️ Also, for the #brand of Cricket that India stands for (for this, that Mumbai Cricket stands for). And for the articulation through story telling - by enjoying the game and its players - making Cricket engaging, inclusive and entertaining. As a #marketer, it was like a nice organic campaign - an enjoyable sum of all its parts :) Happy for this paradigm shift, to now have one of 'our own' Stadium tours. Go for it. PS : The Giles Shield and Harris Shield as the bedrock, cradle and nursery of Mumbai Cricket feature prominently and will come back again, for the section getting spruced up (and to be ready) on the incredible Kanga League and also, to see more on the great #MadhavApte. #WankhedeStadium #Mumbai #MumbaiCricketAssociation #BCCIRead More

One of the best experiences in Mumbai is visiting the iconic Wankhede Stadium. The tour offers a deep dive into cricket history, featuring the MCA Sharad Pawar Cricket Museum, which houses a treasure trove of legends' signed bats, jerseys, and trophy replicas. The experience is well-structured, starting with entertainment areas, a cricket quiz, and a short video session. Afterward, you get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the stadium, including the home and away dressing rooms, the press box, the commentary area, and the players' walk-out steps. You even get the rare opportunity to step out toward the pitch area. At just ₹499, the tour is exceptionally priced for the value it provides. Having a professional guide to share stories along the way makes the entire experience perfect. " you can buy tickets through District app"Read More
