About the event

A family workshop exploring floral motifs, textile traditions, and creative making.

Explore the stories carried by floral motifs through textile traditions across India. Drawing from the exhibition’s exploration of ecology and the enduring presence of floral forms in artistic traditions, the workshop looks at how flowers have appeared as symbols of celebration and devotion, as well as markers of identity and place.

Through a mindful process of making, participants will explore the relationship between nature, memory, and craftsmanship. Working with heritage-inspired forms and patterns, families will discover how natural motifs have shaped artistic expression across generations while creating works of their own.

Designed as an intergenerational experience, the workshop brings families together through observation, conversation, and creative exploration, offering a shared way to connect with India’s textile traditions through making.
